As a Technician, you will provide expert services, such as repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic, for all Customer and Company heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, etc. and ensure that an excellent standard of service and high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
What You’ll Do- Complete repairs and maintenance on almost any dealership line of product (both Customer and Company vehicles) by using advanced knowledge about the functioning of many systems
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments to analyze problems
- Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, as per results from diagnostic testing
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the completed work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing training requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Write service reports to record completed work and recommendations for further work required
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained
- Use hoists, cranes, forklifts, and hand and power tools to complete duties

The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and Customer centric Technicians (Heavy-Duty Truck & Transport Mechanics) to join our Swift Current Service Team. This position is for Technicians of varying skill levels including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, engine, and lube technician that will provide expert services, such as repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic, for all Customer and Company heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, etc. and ensure that an excellent standard of service and customer satisfaction is maintained.
What You’ll Do- Complete repairs and maintenance on almost any dealership line of product (both Customer and Company vehicles) by using advanced knowledge about the functioning of many systems
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments to analyze problems
- Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, as per results from diagnostic testing
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the completed work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing training requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Write service reports to record completed work and recommendations for further work required
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained
- Use hoists, cranes, forklifts, and hand and power tools to complete duties
What You’ll Bring- Affinity for automotive, agricultural/heavy-duty equipment, and/or heavy-duty truck/trailer technical knowledge and understanding
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time

- Responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

Requirements and Qualifications- Proof of Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract (required)
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (required)
- Grade 12 or equivalent (required)
- Heavy-duty truck, trailer, or bus technician/mechanic experience (required)
- Provincial trade training (i.e. partial or total completion of Truck/Transport Mechanic Apprenticeship) an asset
- Previous Aftermarket Resources Centre (ARC) training an asset
- Previous experience with truck or trailer mechanics and electronics
