The Opportunity
We invite those to apply who are passionate, knowledgeable, and Customer centric Journeyperson Technicians (Heavy-Duty Truck & Transport Journeyperson Mechanics) to join our applicant pool for potential consideration for our Regina Service Teams. As a Technician, you will provide expert services, such as repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic, for all Customer and Company heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, etc. and ensure that an excellent standard of service and high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
What You’ll Do- Complete repairs and maintenance on almost any dealership line of product (both Customer and Company vehicles) by using advanced knowledge about the functioning of many systems
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments to analyze problems
- Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, as per results from diagnostic testing
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the completed work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing training requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Write service reports to record completed work and recommendations for further work required
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained
- Use hoists, cranes, forklifts, and hand and power tools to complete duties
What You’ll Bring- Affinity for automotive, agricultural/heavy-duty equipment, and/or heavy-duty truck/trailer technical knowledge and understanding
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- High attention to detail
- Good vision, hearing, and sense of smell to diagnose problems
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements and Qualifications- Proof of Valid Driver’s License (required)
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract (required)

- Heavy-duty truck, trailer, or bus technician/mechanic experience (required)
- Provincial trade training (i.e. total completion of Truck/Transport Mechanic Apprenticeship) (required)
- Previous Aftermarket Resources Centre (ARC) training an asset
- Previous experience with truck or trailer mechanics and electronics
